Servers

A team of volunteers act as servers at the Parish Eucharist every Sunday, and at other Festivals. Volunteers are always needed.

Choir

The choir of some 25 men, women and children practices on Friday evenings from 7.00 to 8.00 in Church. The choir leads the music at the Parish Eucharist and Sunday Evensong and usually sings an anthem at the former. New choristers are always welcome, though there is a very simple audition. Bell-ringers

St Mary's has a 14 cwt 8 bell ring. The ringers practice from 7.30 to 9.00 on Wednesday evenings and usually ring for the 9.45 and 6.30 Services on Sundays. Experienced ringers or complete beginners are always welcome. Back to Groups and Organisations

The Mothers' Union meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7.30 pm in the Church Room. Back to Groups and Organisations

Men's Club

The Men's Club meets in the Village Hall on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30 pm. They have a programme of talks, outings and other social events. Back to Groups and Organisations

Men's breakfasts

Men's Breakfasts are held approximately every two months at the Community College. Breakfast is followed by a speaker. Tickets are issued for these events. Back to Groups and Organisations

The Bible for Us Today

A bible study group meets regularly, usually at 10.30 am in the Church Room on the first Monday in each month for about an hour. We aim to bridge the gap between the world of the Bible and our world, and to hear what God is saying to us through the Bible today.

House Group

A house group meets on the second Thursday of each month at 7.30 pm. The programme covers a wide range of subjects and approaches which are usually suggested by the members. The duration of the meetings is flexible, typically 1 to 1 1/2 hours, and is often prolonged socially over coffee.
In addition, there are often special house groups organised for study and discussion during Lent. These are advertised in the Parish News and on the weekly notices sheets.

Churchyard List

There is a list of burials in the old, closed churchyard compiled by the Ringmer History Study Group.

We hope to provide a list for the new churchyard in due course.

The Bert Errey Trust

This trust was established in 1992 in memory of The Revd. Bert Errey. It makes grants to teenagers or young people, regardless of their denomination, to assist towards travel or maintenance costs in connection with activities in which they will meet Christians from different countries, cultures and denominations and thus gain a wider vision of the Kingdom of God.

Grants are only made to people who live in the parish of Ringmer (or in the United Benefice of Wolverton with Norton Lindsey and Langley in the Diocese of Coventry).
